The word “Lens” has two meanings, the lens from the viewer’s eyes but also the crystal lens used at the lighthouse. The distance between the ship and the lighthouse, when you measure it with a romantic point of view it could be the distance between the lighthouse keeper and the traveler on the sea. It can also be the distance in the artist’s mind when the artist sees the lighthouse from a distance.
“Declaration of the Lighthouse” and “The Glimmer, the Wave and the Tall Grass” included an artwork of Chinese ink painting on silk paper, a paper booklet with drawing and calligraphy written on several vintage stitched binding books. Through the image and the written words, the artist tends to respond the relation and emotion that he have with marine culture and geographic movement in his soft and tender way.
